From Historic Farmland to a Defining Fox Hills Condominium Association Community

Fox Hills Condominium Association in Bloomfield Hills is part of a larger residential community developed during the suburban expansion of the 1960s. Originally farmland dating back to the 1800s, the land was transformed by Pulte Homes, with development contributions associated with the Cuba family, into a planned neighborhood, with construction of the condos and infrastructure taking place from the late 1960s into the early 1970s. Designed from the outset as a community association, Fox Hills included shared amenities such as a pool, tennis courts, and common areas, reflecting the growing popularity of planned condominium living during that era. The association itself was established to manage these shared spaces, maintain the exterior of the buildings, and oversee community operations, and it continues to serve that role today as part of the broader development pattern that shaped much of suburban Michigan in the postwar period.
